Charlotte Hornets forward Brandon Miller will miss Sunday’s game against the Washington Wizards after sustaining a left shoulder injury.
The second overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft departed Saturday’s loss to the Philadelphia 76ers with 10:50 left in the second quarter. Miller, visibly in significant pain and clutching his left arm, walked directly off the court to the locker room. He concluded the game with four points and one assist in nine minutes.
The injury occurred just days after Miller’s impressive season-opening performance, where he tallied 25 points and seven assists in a victory over the Brooklyn Nets. His rookie season was limited to just 27 games after he underwent surgery in January to repair a ligament in his right wrist.
