Actor Chris Evans and his wife, actress Alba Baptista, have welcomed their first child.
According to reports, the baby was born on Saturday in Massachusetts. The couple has not yet revealed the name or gender.
The birth comes just over a year after Evans, 44, and Baptista, 28, married in a private ceremony on Cape Cod on September 9, 2023.
Speculation that the couple was expecting began over the summer, fueled by a social media comment from Baptista’s father, Luiz Baptista. In response to a Father’s Day post, he wrote to Evans, “Your turn is coming!”
The arrival of their child follows other significant life changes for the couple. In May, Evans sold his long-time Hollywood Hills residence for $7 million, with reports indicating the move was prompted by a desire to be closer to his family on the East Coast.
