HOUSTON – Intermittent rain and thunderstorms are expected throughout the weekend, beginning with a weather disturbance moving into the area Friday night.
Following a warm and humid day, scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are developing. Some of these storms could become briefly intense. Another round of rain is anticipated late Friday night into early Saturday morning.
After the initial rain and thunder subsides, Saturday is forecast to become pleasant, with humidity levels decreasing into the afternoon. Sunday will be comfortable with a mix of sun and clouds and slightly cooler temperatures.
The potential for thunderstorms returns on Monday, particularly later in the day, as moisture increases ahead of an approaching weather system. This may result in periods of heavy rain from Monday night into early Tuesday morning.
Looking ahead to the Thanksgiving holiday week, conditions are forecast to improve significantly after Monday’s system passes. The remainder of the week is expected to be drier and less humid, creating favorable conditions for travel and outdoor plans. Thanksgiving Day is projected to have high temperatures in the 60s, with seasonably cool air persisting through the long weekend.
