SpaceX is set to debut a new Falcon 9 booster on a mission from California to deploy another batch of its Starlink internet satellites.
The launch is scheduled for 12:48 a.m. PST (3:48 a.m. EST / 0848 UTC) from Space Launch Complex 4E at Vandenberg Space Force Base. This flight will mark the inaugural mission for the Falcon 9 first stage B1100, the eighth new booster to join SpaceX’s reusable fleet this year.
Following liftoff, the Falcon 9 will travel on a south-easterly trajectory along the California coast, targeting an orbit inclined at 53 degrees to the Equator. Approximately eight and a half minutes into the flight, the B1100 booster is slated to land on the drone ship ‘Of Course I Still Love You’.
This will be the 110th Starlink deployment mission of the year. The launch supports the continued expansion of the satellite internet service, which SpaceX announced earlier this month has reached 8 million customers worldwide.
