Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears as he recovers from a left wrist injury.
Head coach Mike Tomlin told reporters the decision on Rodgers’ availability rests with the team’s medical staff, stating, “We’ll see where the weekend leads us.”
Rodgers sustained the injury during the Steelers’ Week 11 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. He did not practice on Wednesday and was a limited participant on Thursday and Friday.
Tomlin noted the injury is non-surgical and that Rodgers will be cleared once the medical team is confident he can protect himself on the field.
If he plays, it will be the first time in his career that Rodgers has faced his longtime rivals without being a member of the Green Bay Packers. Should Rodgers be ruled out, Mason Rudolph will start at quarterback for Pittsburgh.
