Vans is partnering with Netflix on an exclusive footwear collection inspired by the streaming platform’s animated hit, “K-Pop Demon Hunters.” The collaboration allows fans to celebrate the film’s popular characters and pivotal moments through designs on Vans’ signature shoe silhouettes.
The new line reimagines several of the brand’s classic styles, including the Classic Slip-On, Old Skool, Old Skool V, and Sk8-Hi. Each shoe incorporates imagery of the film’s central characters, such as the girl group Huntr/x (Rumi, Mira, and Zoey), their guardians Derpy Tiger and Sussie, and the rival demon boy band, Saja Boys. The designs merge the movie’s aesthetic with Vans’ signature style, featuring demon-inspired patterns on the Old Skool and the iconic checkerboard print on the Classic Slip-On and Sk8-Hi models.
The collection is designed for all ages, with sizing available for both adults and children. The sneakers will be priced between $45 and $85 and will be available for purchase at Vans retail stores worldwide this Friday, followed by an online release at vans.com on Monday.
The collaboration capitalizes on the massive success of “K-Pop Demon Hunters,” which premiered on Netflix in August. The film quickly became the platform’s most-watched movie, surpassing 325 million views and 930 million minutes watched in its first 10 weeks. These figures established it as Netflix’s most-watched animated film and its most popular title in history.
The action-comedy, from Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation, follows a K-pop supergroup whose members lead double lives as demon hunters. When not topping the charts, they protect their fans from supernatural threats, including a rival boy band of disguised demons.
This partnership aligns with Vans’ long-standing strategy of collaborating on pop culture-themed collections. The brand has previously launched successful lines with major franchises like Marvel, “Harry Potter,” “Toy Story,” and “Sailor Moon,” as well as with renowned musicians such as SZA and Metallica.
