Nashville SC is set to face D.C. United on Wednesday, marking the third meeting between the two clubs in 2025. The Eastern Conference rivals previously played to a 0-0 draw this season before Nashville secured a 1-0 victory at Audi Field less than two weeks ago.
“Every time we’ve had an opportunity to play them, we’ve learned a little bit more about ourselves and how to do it,” said Head Coach BJ Callaghan. “And so we just look forward to taking those little tweaks and opportunities to improve ourselves and put it back on display [Wednesday] night.”
This U.S. Open Cup match follows Nashville’s entry into the tournament in the third round, a standard for all MLS teams. The club advanced after defeating the Chattanooga Red Wolves 1-0 in their opening cup fixture on a goal from Josh Bauer.
