South American powerhouses Colombia and Brazil will compete for the 2025 Women’s Copa America championship title on Saturday afternoon.
Colombia enters the final undefeated in the tournament, though the team has recorded two draws. Their most recent match was a tense, goalless semi-final against Argentina, which they ultimately won 5-4 in a penalty shootout to secure their place in the championship.
Brazil has demonstrated formidable form throughout the competition, winning every match except for one. Their path to the final included a dominant 5-1 semi-final victory over Uruguay, with goals from Amanda Guttieres, Gio Garbelini, Dudinha, and national team legend Marta.
The two finalists have already met during the group stage of this tournament, where they played to a 0-0 draw. Brazil’s performance in that match was particularly notable, as they held Colombia scoreless despite being reduced to ten players after Lorena received a red card in the 24th minute.
The final is scheduled for Saturday, August 2, 2025, with a 4:55 p.m. ET kickoff. The match will be broadcast on FOX Sports 1 and streamed via Fubo.
