Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins is questionable to return to the team’s Week 8 game against the Patriots after suffering a shoulder injury.
A standout rookie on an otherwise struggling offense, Judkins had been held to 19 yards on nine carries before exiting the contest. His departure is a significant blow for a Cleveland team that relies heavily on its running game to complement its dominant defense.
The injury occurred one week after Judkins delivered a three-touchdown performance in Week 7. It was not immediately clear when he sustained the shoulder injury against New England.
With Judkins sidelined, the Browns will rely on veteran Jerome Ford and fellow rookie Dylan Sampson. Ford typically serves as the team’s receiving back, while Sampson has had a limited role behind Judkins.
