Burger King is launching a new collectible toy line to compete with McDonald’s popular Halloween-themed Happy Meal. This fall, the fast-food chain will feature a series of Scooby-Doo toys in its King Jr. Meals nationwide.
Inspired by the classic cartoon’s Halloween specials, the promotion taps into nostalgia for the mystery-solving gang. The collection includes six figures, each with a removable mask: Scooby-Doo with a mummy mask, Shaggy with a skull mask, Velma with a witch mask, Daphne with a cat mask, Fred with a Frankenstein mask, and the villain Elwood Crane (the Headless Horseman) with a ghost mask.
A Burger King representative confirmed the lineup after information about the toys was first leaked on social media. The collectible figures will be available for a limited time with the purchase of a King Jr. Meal, while supplies last.
This promotion is Burger King’s latest move in its seasonal rivalry with McDonald’s. In 2023, the company released a limited-edition, glow-in-the-dark Halloween bucket in select cities, a direct challenge to the iconic McDonald’s Boo Buckets. More recently, the chain offered food items inspired by “The Addams Family,” including a purple “Wednesdays Whopper” and “Thing’s Rings,” as an alternative to its competitor’s offerings.
