Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle Amarius Mims was sidelined for the team’s training camp practice on August 2 at Paycor Stadium, marking the second consecutive session he has missed. Mims, who has been seen with a wrap on his right hand, was observed working with the training staff during practice.
With Mims unavailable, rookie Jalen Rivers has been taking repetitions as the starting right tackle.
The absence continues a concerning trend for the 2024 first-round draft pick, who battled multiple injuries during his rookie season. Last year, Mims played through a broken right hand suffered in Week 17 against Denver, which required him to wear a protective club. He also sustained a left ankle injury in Week 16 and was briefly carted off with another left ankle injury in Week 5 before returning to the game.
Despite the various ailments, the former University of Georgia standout appeared in 15 games for Cincinnati during his 2024 rookie campaign.
