James Gunn’s highly anticipated film, Superman, is set to feature two post-credits scenes, establishing a new tradition for the DC Universe from its first installment. The movie will include both a mid-credits and a final post-credits scene following its 130-minute runtime.
As the inaugural film in DC Studios’ new cinematic universe, Superman kicks off “Chapter One: Gods and Monsters.” These additional scenes are expected to tease future storylines and expand the freshly rebooted continuity, which is distinct from the previous DC Extended Universe.
Helmed by Gunn as both writer and director, the film stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as the villainous Lex Luthor. The supporting cast includes Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Edi Gathegi, and Anthony Carrigan.
Inspired by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely’s acclaimed All-Star Superman comic series, the production aims to present a hero defined by compassion. Filming took place at Trilith Studios in Georgia, with additional shooting in Ohio and Svalbard, Norway.
Superman is scheduled to be released in U.S. theaters on July 11, 2025.
