Wide receiver Gabe Davis is returning to the Buffalo Bills following a brief and unproductive tenure with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
According to reports, Davis will initially join the practice squad as he continues to recover from a meniscus injury sustained last season. Before re-signing with the Bills, he had also met with the Pittsburgh Steelers, San Francisco 49ers, and New York Giants this offseason.
The Jaguars released Davis in early May after just one season. In 10 games with the team, he secured 20 receptions for 239 yards. His departure leaves Jacksonville with a $20.3 million dead cap hit that will be spread over the next two seasons.
Prior to his single season in Jacksonville, Davis played four years in Buffalo, where he established himself as a significant deep-ball threat.
