Giants 2025 Training Camp Report: Latest Intel and Analysis

Wide receiver Malik Nabers made an explosive return to the field for the New York Giants’ first training camp practice, catching three touchdown passes from quarterback Russell Wilson. Nabers, who sat out spring workouts with a toe injury, appeared healthy and dynamic in his first session back.

Despite the strong performance, the toe remains a point of concern that will require careful monitoring. Nabers, who recorded 109 receptions for 1,204 yards in his rookie season, confirmed that surgery was discussed as an option before the team decided to let the injury heal naturally. He acknowledged the condition will need to be managed throughout the season and was uncertain if the issue would fully resolve on its own. “Time will tell,” Nabers said.

While Wilson established a strong connection with his top receiver, rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart had a challenging start to his first NFL camp. The first-round pick’s first pass in team drills was intercepted and returned for a touchdown by cornerback Nic Jones. Dart recovered, however, finishing the session 3-for-7 with a touchdown pass. Following the interception, Wilson reportedly advised the young quarterback to focus on the “next play.”

As players reported to camp in East Rutherford, the team also made several key roster moves. Standout left tackle Andrew Thomas and running back Eric Gray were placed on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. Thomas is recovering from Lisfranc surgery that ended his previous season 10 games early. The move was expected, as the Giants plan to bring him along slowly with the goal of having him ready for the Week 1 opener against Washington.
