Glen Powell leads an ensemble cast in the upcoming film How to Make a Killing, from Emily the Criminal director John Patton Ford. Powell is joined by Margaret Qualley, Ed Harris, Jessica Henwick, Zach Woods, Topher Grace, and Raff Law.
The film centers on Becket Redfellow (Powell), the son of an heiress who was disowned from the vast Redfellow family estate. After his mother dies impoverished, Becket becomes ruthlessly determined to claim what he believes is his rightful inheritance. He hatches a murderous scheme to eliminate the seven relatives standing in his way, orchestrating a series of what appear to be “deliciously imaginative accidents.” As the heirs fall one by one, Becket is forced to navigate his relationship with his loving girlfriend, Ruth, who values love over wealth, and the advances of a flirtatious former flame, Julia, who has a keen interest in his potential fortune.
How to Make a Killing is fully financed by Studiocanal, with EVP Global Production Ron Halpern and SVP Global Production Joe Naftalin overseeing the project. Pete Czernin and Graham Broadbent are producing for Blueprint Pictures. A24 will handle the film’s U.S. release, which is scheduled for February 20.
