In a dramatic start, Iceland took a surprise early lead against the group leaders. Sveindís Jane Jónsdóttir found the net with a close-range finish, a goal that was confirmed after a brief VAR review for a potential offside.
However, Iceland’s advantage was short-lived. Norway responded within minutes when Signe Gaupset connected with a corner, firing a powerful first-time volley past the goalkeeper to level the score.
