Hyatt has announced a management agreement with ASB Hotel Properties and Albwardy Investments to introduce its Hyatt Regency brand to Zambia. The existing Pamodzi Hotel in Lusaka will be rebranded as the Hyatt Regency Lusaka The Pamodzi following extensive renovations.
The property will undergo a comprehensive renovation while continuing to operate, with a planned relaunch under the Hyatt Regency brand in 2026. This move marks the brand’s debut in the country and expands Hyatt’s portfolio in a new African market. Upon its official rebranding, the hotel will join the World of Hyatt loyalty program, allowing members to earn and redeem points.
Located in Zambia’s capital, the five-star hotel will feature 170 contemporary guestrooms and suites, along with versatile meeting and event spaces suitable for both large conferences and private functions. Its strategic location offers convenient access to the city’s main business district, cultural sites like the Lusaka National Museum, and prominent wildlife attractions such as Lusaka National Park and the Elephant Orphanage Project, both a 30-minute drive away.
