The San Siro is set to host the season’s first Derby della Madonnina as AC Milan and Inter clash on November 23, 2025, in a pivotal Serie A matchday 12 fixture following the international break. With both teams competing at the top of the table, the 20:45 kick-off carries significant weight.
AC Milan enters the derby in a period of growth, having lost only once this season. However, Massimiliano Allegri’s side will be looking to improve on their last outing, a 2-2 draw against Parma where a strong start faded over the 90 minutes. The international break has provided a significant boost, with key players returning to fitness. Rabiot, Pulisic, and Jashari are all available for selection, leaving only Gimenez and Athekame sidelined. The match will also mark a special occasion for Luka Modrić, who is set to make his debut in the iconic Milan derby.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, manager Massimiliano Allegri acknowledged the challenge but expressed confidence in his squad. “The derby kicks off a decisive cycle for us until March, across Serie A, the Coppa Italia, and the Supercoppa,” he stated. “Inter are an experienced and solid side; they’re favourites for the Scudetto alongside Napoli, but the derby is a different match entirely. I have a lot of confidence in the group because one good week and six points can change everything. We can play and win without a traditional number nine, and for that reason, I am expecting big performances from Pulisic and Leão.”
