In a continuing trend among major retailers, Kohl’s will close its stores for Thanksgiving in 2025, allowing employees to spend the holiday with their families.
While the department store chain once participated in early Black Friday sales on Thanksgiving Day, it has since shifted its policy, a move consistent with its approach in recent years.
Shoppers seeking to take advantage of in-store deals will need to wait until the following day. Kohl’s locations will reopen early on Black Friday, November 28, with doors opening at 6 a.m. ET for the start of its major sales event.
