Due to its broadcast slot following the NFL season opener, Thursday’s episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” was already scheduled for a late start. An additional delay occurred when the football game was temporarily suspended for lightning, pushing the show’s airtime even later into the night.
Despite the delay, the episode features a compelling and diverse lineup of guests. LL Cool J, who is hosting this weekend’s MTV Video Music Awards, will appear as the lead interview guest. He will be joined by reigning NBA MVP and Champion, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Later in the program, country artist Riley Green is slated for both an interview and a musical performance.
