Tribute Games, the acclaimed developer behind Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, has announced its next project, Marvel Cosmic Invasion, a new title bringing the Marvel universe back to the classic beat-’em-up genre.
Inspired by ’90s cartoons and comic books, the side-scrolling brawler is set to capture the energy of retro arcade fighters. Tribute Games has confirmed that the game will launch with a roster of fifteen heroes, including recently revealed characters Cosmic Ghost Rider and Black Panther, alongside fan favorites like Rocket Raccoon and Silver Surfer. The developers aim to blend nostalgic gameplay with snappy, modern combat mechanics.
Marvel Cosmic Invasion will be available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers on its release day. This provides an opportunity for players to experience the throwback adventure as part of their existing subscription.
The game’s official PlayStation Store page has confirmed that Marvel Cosmic Invasion will be released on Monday, December 1, at 8 a.m. PST / 11 a.m. EST / 4 p.m. GMT. The title is poised to appeal to fans of the genre and longtime Marvel enthusiasts, with Tribute Games looking to capitalize on the rich potential of the comic book source material.
