The incident occurred on November 19, 2018, when Russo, an employee of Lancaster Plumbing, Heating, Cooling and Electrical, was involved in a collision while operating a company vehicle. He received the maximum $35,000 underinsured motorist (UIM) benefit from his employer’s policy with Donegal Insurance Group. Russo later sought additional compensation through his personal auto policy with Erie Insurance, which covered four vehicles and included stacked UIM coverage.
