Goaltender Brandon Bussi will pursue a franchise record on Friday as the Carolina Hurricanes host the Winnipeg Jets at Lenovo Center. A victory would give Bussi his sixth win in just seven starts, a milestone no other goaltender has achieved in the team’s history.
The 27-year-old enters the contest on a three-game winning streak, which includes a 25-save performance in a victory over the Jets last week.
The Hurricanes will once again be without captain Jordan Staal, who is set to miss his third straight game due to illness. Justin Robidas will fill in on the fourth line, playing in his fourth career NHL game.
