Colombian singer J Balvin sparked engagement rumors on Friday night after sharing images of Brazilian pop star Anitta wearing a prominent ring. The photos depict Anitta kissing her boyfriend, Florianópolis-based entrepreneur Ian Bortolanza.
“Engagement ring. Congratulations, see you at the wedding,” J Balvin wrote in the caption, congratulating the couple.
However, Anitta has not yet confirmed the news on her own social media channels, leading many fans to believe the post was a prank. Internet users quickly pointed out that the ring appeared to belong to Balvin himself. “That ring is Balvin’s. She would never wear a ring that size,” one user wrote. Another comment highlighted, “He was wearing the ring in the previous photo and nobody noticed.”
The relationship between Anitta and Bortolanza first gained public attention during this year’s Carnival, where they were seen together in Rio de Janeiro.
Ian Bortolanza, 33, is the director of a sports marketing consulting and management agency. His firm specializes in advisory services, sponsorship acquisition, and social media content production for athletes. Bortolanza has worked with notable fighters, including Rafael dos Anjos and Alex Poatan Pereira. Before his career in sports marketing, he was a salesperson at his parents’ medical supply distribution company.
