“It was a frustration play, and I have no problem with it,” Kerr said. “He deserved the foul. He was getting fouled quite a bit in what was a physical game. The way he ran on that play, his level of activity, the rebounding… that’s the JK who can really help our team.”
When informed of his coach’s comments after the game, Kuminga expressed his appreciation.
“It means a lot,” said the forward, who turned 23 last week. “Knowing people have my back makes me determined not to let them down. I just have to keep doing what I’m doing, playing hard and competing every moment.”
