According to a report from Us Weekly, the decision to part ways was primarily made by the 37-year-old “Ballerina” star. An insider told the publication she had become “a little uncomfortable with how fast it was going.”
While de Armas is said to have initiated the split, the source noted that strong feelings remain between the two and they hope to remain friends. The insider suggested a future reconciliation is possible, stating, “They will see how things go in the future,” but emphasized that de Armas felt the need to slow things down for now.
The actors reportedly became close while preparing for their supernatural thriller “Deeper,” though the project is now on hold. An insider described their chemistry during pre-production as “totally undeniable,” explaining that a deep professional respect quickly developed into a romance. “They spent every day together in preparation and training,” the source said. “Tom was completely captivated by Ana.”
