Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement with West Ham United to sign midfielder Mohammed Kudus in a deal worth approximately £55 million ($74.7m).
The 24-year-old Ghana international has agreed to a six-year contract and is expected to undergo a medical within the next 48 hours to finalize the transfer.
The breakthrough in negotiations follows Tottenham’s previously rejected bid of £50 million. While Kudus has an £85 million release clause in his West Ham contract, applicable only to Premier League clubs, the club was willing to negotiate a lower transfer fee.
Kudus, who had also been on Chelsea’s radar, became a key target for Spurs this summer. Since joining West Ham from Ajax in 2023, he has scored 19 goals and provided 13 assists in 80 appearances for the club.
