Wide receiver Mack Hollins was a key contributor in the win, providing a crucial offensive spark. As quarterback Drake Maye worked through an uneven performance, Hollins served as his most reliable target, leading the team with six receptions for 106 yards.
Hollins, known for his distinct personality and habit of walking barefoot, drew a humorous comparison from Head Coach Mike Vrabel on Monday. While praising the receiver’s value, Vrabel advised not to be fooled by his unconventional appearance.
“I appreciate his professionalism,” Vrabel said. “Don’t judge a book by its cover. He walks around like Encino Man, but he’s smart, he’s easy to talk to… I think he’s a good leader. I think he does a lot of different things for us, and I like having him here.”
The coach’s reference to the 1992 film about a thawed-out caveman was a playful nod to Hollins’ unique style, but the message underscored the receiver’s intelligence and leadership qualities.
