During an appearance at Fan Expo 2025 in Toronto, Wednesday cast members Georgie Farmer and Joy Sunday offered insights into the upcoming second half of the show’s second season.
The first part of Season 2 saw Wednesday Addams return to Nevermore Academy, only to become the target of a mysterious stalker. Her investigation uncovered a clandestine program conducting unethical experiments on outcasts, which culminated in a brutal confrontation that left her severely injured.
Following the death of Principal Weems in Season 1, the new season introduces Steve Buscemi as Principal Dort. Both Farmer and Sunday praised their experience working with the veteran actor. “He’s so sweet and kind. It was amazing to learn from him,” Sunday noted. “You can observe how he makes every scene a painting.” Farmer added, “He’s one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. He was so generous with us, for advice. He’s incredible.”
The actors also elaborated on their characters’ development. Farmer shared that Ajax’s arc will focus on self-discovery. “For Ajax, finding himself in high school is a big one,” he said. “It was a big thing for me, trying to figure out who I was.”
Sunday described Bianca’s journey as one of increasing vulnerability. “It’s not a luxury she got to enjoy before, and so she really has to become comfortable with it,” she explained. “She’s always been a lone wolf or lone Siren… So, in Season 2, being welcomed into the Addams family home and getting to lean on her classmates has been a big deal for her.”
Farmer emphasized the show’s relatable themes, which ground its fantasy elements. “Even though this is a fantasy world and these characters have abilities, each character is grounded in humanity,” he stated. “They’re each going through very human things. Hopefully, that’s why people have connected to them.”
When asked to describe the theme of the season’s latter half, both actors agreed on one word: “teamwork.”
Wednesday Season 2, Part 2, begins streaming on Netflix on September 3rd, 2025.
