The NFL preseason is underway, with the first week of action providing a glimpse of the season to come. Thursday’s slate of games saw the Baltimore Ravens defeat the Indianapolis Colts and the Philadelphia Eagles overcome the Cincinnati Bengals, while the contest between the Seattle Seahawks and Las Vegas Raiders concluded in a 23-23 tie.
In the Eagles-Bengals matchup, Philadelphia’s backup quarterback Tanner McKee delivered a standout performance, completing 20 of 25 passes for two touchdowns and adding another on the ground. For Cincinnati, quarterback Joe Burrow appeared in regular-season form, connecting on 9 of 10 passes for two touchdowns, while receiver Ja’Marr Chase recorded four receptions for 77 yards.
While there is no Sunday Night Football game scheduled for tonight, August 10, the preseason action continues this week. The next round of games includes an NFL Network doubleheader on Friday, August 15, beginning with the Tennessee Titans at the Atlanta Falcons at 7:00 p.m. ET, followed by the Kansas City Chiefs at the Seattle Seahawks at 10:00 p.m. ET.
The only Sunday night preseason broadcast will air on FOX on August 17 at 8:00 p.m. ET, featuring the Buffalo Bills visiting the Chicago Bears.
The official regular season schedule for NBC’s Sunday Night Football will commence on September 7, when the Buffalo Bills host the Baltimore Ravens at 8:20 p.m. ET.
