Microsoft Azure users experienced service disruptions on Wednesday, primarily affecting the Azure Portal and services located in the East US region.
Outage tracking website Downdetector logged over 890 reports, with users citing issues across Microsoft’s core productivity platforms.
The official Azure Support account acknowledged the problem, stating, “We’re investigating an issue impacting Azure Front Door services. Customers may experience intermittent request failures or latency.” The company added that updates would be provided shortly.
While Microsoft’s global Azure status page showed “no active events,” the company confirmed it was investigating a localized issue affecting the East US region and its Virtual Desktop service.
