OSHKOSH – The 72nd edition of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, the world’s largest fly-in convention, is scheduled for July 21-27 at Wittman Regional Airport. The event is expected to attract approximately 700,000 visitors and more than 10,000 aircraft, building on last year’s record-setting attendance.
This year’s convention will feature a wide range of attractions, from daily airshows and historic aircraft displays to hands-on workshops and family-friendly activities.
Admission and Planning
Daily tickets are priced at $68 for adult non-members and $49 for adult EAA members. Veterans and active military members also receive the discounted $49 rate. Admission is free for all youths 18 and younger. Special pricing is available for the final day, July 27, at $29 for non-members and $24 for members and military. A two-day pass for non-members is available for $110.
Advance tickets, camping reservations, and a full schedule of events can be found at AirVenture.org. Attendees are encouraged to download the EAA Events App, available on the App Store and Google Play, to create a personalized itinerary, navigate the grounds, and receive event notifications.
Daily Airshows and Aircraft Displays
Afternoon airshows, beginning at 2:15 p.m. from July 21-26 and 1 p.m. on July 27, are a cornerstone of the event. These shows will feature top-tier aerobatic performers, including Randy Ball (MiG-17), Vicky Benzing (P-51), Bob Carlton (Jetfox), and Greg Colyer (T-33).
Two Goodyear blimps will make their return to Oshkosh, highlighting both daytime shows and two night airshows scheduled for 8 p.m. on July 23 and 26.
Aircraft displays are organized across the airport grounds. Boeing Plaza will serve as the marquee showcase, featuring the Wisconsin Air National Guard and two flying examples of the B-29 Superfortress. Visitors can also explore historic planes in the Warbirds section, view thousands of unique planes in the homebuilt aircraft area, or take a shuttle to the Seaplane Base on Lake Winnebago.
Featured Attractions and Activities
Aircraft Rides
Attendees have the opportunity to purchase flight experiences in historic aircraft, including the Ford Tri-Motor, the world’s first mass-produced airliner; the B-25 Berlin Express, a World War II bomber; and the Bell 47 helicopter, famously featured in the TV series MASH*.
KidVenture
Located at the Pioneer Airport, KidVenture offers hands-on activities for young aviation enthusiasts. Open daily, it provides opportunities to build projects, fly radio-control aircraft, use flight simulators, and learn about aviation history.
EAA Aviation Museum
Admission to the EAA Aviation Museum is included with an AirVenture wristband. The museum features a world-class collection of aircraft and exhibits, with special presentations held daily starting at 8 a.m.
Fly-In Theater
Each night at 8:30 p.m., the Fly-In Theater presents classic aviation-themed films on a five-story screen. Admission and popcorn are free for all attendees. The film schedule is as follows:

Additional film screenings will take place at the EAA Museum’s Skyscape Theater throughout the week.
Salute to Veterans
On July 25, AirVenture will host a day-long tribute to veterans. Activities include a parade of veterans at 12:30 p.m. and the evening return of an Old Glory Honor Flight, which takes veterans to tour war memorials in Washington, D.C.
Workshops and Forums
More than 1,500 workshops and forums are offered at no additional cost, covering topics from aircraft construction and restoration to piloting techniques. These sessions, led by industry experts, pilots, and designers, are available daily across the convention grounds.
Runway 5K
The annual Runway 5K charity fun run/walk takes place at 6:30 a.m. on July 26. A new route this year will take participants on a unique tour of the AirVenture grounds. Registration includes a T-shirt, post-race refreshments, and same-day admission to the event.
Food and Shopping
Thirteen on-site shops offer a wide variety of EAA memorabilia, merchandise, and aviation equipment. A diverse selection of food options, including grocery stores, national chains, and local food trucks, are available throughout the Wittman Regional Airport grounds.
