A man was arrested soon after police reported he shot a teenager campaigning for the impending operate-off election Thursday evening.
Savannah law enforcement explained the 15-calendar year-old was at a residence on Hartridge Road where by he was campaigning for Senator Raphael Warnock.

Officers reported whilst the teenager was at the front door, 42-yr-outdated Jimmy Paiz shot the teen via the closed doorway, hitting him in the leg.
When they arrived, authorities stated officers speedily discovered Paiz at residence and arrested him.

The teen, who has not been recognized, was taken to Memorial Health care Center for treatment method.
“I am saddened to discover about this incident. I am praying for the target and their household and would like them a whole restoration,” Senator Warnock claimed in a statement.
Paiz was booked into the Chatham County Jail and billed with aggravated assault and aggravated battery.
