MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – A 15-year-old from North Carolina drowned at Myrtle Seashore resort earlier this month, in response to officers.
Horry County Cheif Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard mentioned the incident occurred on July 10, when 15-year-old Ma Duong, of Archdale, North Carolina, left his resort room to go swimming.
When he had not returned later within the night, his household went to search for him. Unable to seek out him, they later referred to as the police.
Police searched the world for a number of hours, however Duong wasn’t discovered till the next morning within the pool of the Sea Mist Oceanfront Resort.
Willard mentioned the reason for dying was asphyxiation resulting from drowning.
The Myrtle Seashore Police Division is investigating the incident.
