The director of Information Technologies of the lobby of the maquiladora industry and of manufacture He said each of these cybersecurity incidents reported by companies that are part of the council’s membership cost about $2.3 million, according to a survey of council members. Index.
“The manufacturing industry considers cybersecurity legislation and the issuance of the cybersecurity law extremely necessary given the violations that our companies have suffered and the effects that they have brought to their operations,” said Sánchez.

In a virtual format, students, academics, public officials, civil society organizations, industry chambers and representatives of private companies poured their proposals on cybersecurity.
Another of the factors highlighted by Sánchez was that several of the cyberattacks suffered by companies in the sector were not directed directly at them but at their service providers, that is, in their supply chain, a recurring theme during the different interventions of the parliament open in cyber security.
