The funeral ceremony of the late Tanzanian president
Reuters reported that 5 members of one family were killed after a stampede in a stadium in the Tanzanian city of Dar es Salaam as hundreds of people paid a farewell look at the body of the late President John Magufuli.
It was not known what caused the stampede that occurred when crowds flocked to see the body farewell.
The victims are a woman named Suzanne Muta, her two children, and two other children who are relatives.
Magufuli died of heart disease after he had earlier underestimated the danger posed by the emerging corona virus and refused to issue orders to implement the measures taken by many countries to contain the disease, such as general isolation or putting on masks.
