60 people were killed when a passenger bus collided with a truck in western Cameroon, according to local websites, this evening, Sunday.
The site indicated that the bus belonging to one of the companies was carrying 70 passengers.
Earlier in the day, the Associated Press reported that the accident occurred Saturday night to Sunday in the village of Nimali, where the bus veered to avoid running over a crowd, which led to it crashing into the truck.
The local authorities revealed that the majority of the passengers were on their way back from Christmas events to their relatives in order to welcome the New Year with them.
