Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo has an exceptional record against English clubs, but there are 7 teams he has faced that have been difficult for him and prevented him from scoring against them.
When it comes to scoring against English teams, Tottenham have been the Don's favourite opponent, with 14 goals scored against them in 20 games.
Ronaldo (current striker for the Saudi Al-Nassr team) joined Manchester United in 2003 to launch his real career in the English Premier League.
The “Madeira Rocket” excelled with the “Red Devils” and led them to win several championships, most notably the Champions League in 2008.
During his first period with Manchester United, he scored 118 goals in 292 matches, but he returned in the summer of 2021 and scored 27 goals in 54 matches.
In contrast, the Portuguese star failed to score against these seven English clubs:
1- Leicester City
Ronaldo faced the Foxes on 3 occasions and came away empty-handed.
They first faced them in the 2003-04 season, when Gary Neville scored the only goal of the game to give Manchester United a 1-0 win at Old Trafford.
Later, Ronaldo played against Leicester City on two more occasions upon his return to Old Trafford, but failed to score either.

2- Wolverhampton
The “Madeira Rocket” played 3 matches against Wolverhampton, during which he did not score any goals or pass any assists.
He faced them twice in the Premier League in the 2003-04 season and once on his return to the club in 2021-22. In his last meeting with them, Wolves recorded a surprise 1-0 win at Old Trafford.
Cristiano Ronaldo has suffered the 34th defeat in the Premier League against Wolves.

5- Crystal Palace
He made his debut against Crystal Palace in the 2004-05 season, playing only 34 minutes of that match which eventually ended in a goalless draw.
Upon his return to the club, he was given the chance to play against them again. Despite playing the full 90 minutes of United's home game in 2021-22, he failed to score despite taking 5 shots on target.

6- Burton Albion
In the 2005â06 season, he played 31 minutes of an FA Cup match against Burton (who were a non-Premier League team at the time) which ended in a goalless draw.
In the return match, United won, but Ronaldo did not participate in that match.

7- Southend United
Southend United have bragging rights against Ronaldo too, as they not only prevented him from scoring against them in the 2006-07 season, but managed to pull off the biggest upset by winning the match 1-0.
Ronaldo made several attempts during the encounter, but he couldn't find a way past Darryl Flahavan that night.
