A group of Ukrainian weightlifters managed to set a new world record, by towing the world’s largest and heaviest cargo plane, and moving it along the runway in one minute and 13 seconds.

The team, consisting of two groups of 4 people each, succeeded in moving the giant Antonov cargo plane An-225 Mriya, on the runway of Hostomel Airport on the outskirts of the capital, Kiev, to set a local record for the least group of men able to move an aircraft of this type.
And the website “Toronto Sun” quoted a spokesman for the National Records Registry Authority in Ukraine, as saying that they will apply to the Guinness World Records to approve the new record, which beats the record set in 2013, when 10 men managed to tow a plane of this type.
The site stated that the cargo plane “An-225 MriyaIt is the only one of its kind used today in air cargo operations, with a payload capacity of 250 tons, and a travel distance of up to 4000 km.
The plane was developed in the era of the Soviet Union in 1988, to transport heavy goods, and its development program stopped in the wake of the collapse of the Soviet Union, and the cargo plane has remained since that time in Ukraine.
