The San Francisco 49ers scored on their first offensive play to take an immediate lead over the Arizona Cardinals.
The game began with a career-long 98-yard kickoff return by wide receiver Skyy Moore, setting the 49ers up at the one-yard line. On the next play, running back Christian McCaffrey took a handoff from quarterback Brock Purdy for a touchdown, making the score 7-0 just 16 seconds into the contest.
The touchdown, McCaffrey’s fifth of the season, marked his return to the field after a five-game absence due to a toe injury.
