An Arc Raiders community manager has confirmed that in-game currency counts toward the rewards for its controversial Expedition feature, resolving a key question for players since the game’s launch.
The Expedition system allows players to reset their character’s progress and skill tree in exchange for permanent bonuses, including additional stash space and skill points. The number of skill points awarded is directly tied to the total value of a player’s stash at the time of the reset, but developer Embark had not clarified what this value included.
This lack of information left players debating whether to hoard valuable items or sell them for cash. In a recent exchange on the game’s official Discord server, community manager “Lily” was asked if currency contributes to the Expedition stash value. She responded, “Yep! Skill points are rewarded based on stash + wallet at the time of the departure.”
The confirmation, which was met with relief by the community, allows players to liquidate their loot into a cash pile without negatively impacting their potential Expedition rewards. However, a significant question remains: the exact value threshold required to earn the maximum number of skill points is still unknown.
Despite the clarification, Embark has not released any hard numbers. When asked for specifics on Discord, the community manager stated there were “no numbers atm.” This continued ambiguity has frustrated some players, who feel the lack of transparency makes the high-stakes decision to wipe their progress an unnecessary gamble.
Some players speculate that Embark is still analyzing live data to establish a balanced progression curve before finalizing the reward structure. For now, many in the community remain hesitant to undertake an Expedition until the rewards are more clearly defined.
