Billy Strings Teases Upcoming Spring Tour Locations with Crossword Puzzle
Grammy-winning guitarist Billy Strings engaged fans on Thursday by teasing the locations of his upcoming spring tour stops via social media. Instead of a standard announcement, he posted an “After Dinner Activity Sheet”—a crossword puzzle filled with clues pointing to the cities and states on the new itinerary. The puzzle also revealed that the official tour announcement is scheduled for Tuesday, December 2.
This marks the second time Strings has used such a creative method to hint at a tour route. Fans immediately began collaborating in the comments to decipher the clues. One hint, “460 Year Old City,” was widely interpreted as a reference to St. Augustine, Florida, suggesting a stop in the historic city.
An Instagram profile, @heady_net, was among the first to share a completed version of the puzzle, which indicates the tour will include stops in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and Indiana. The upcoming concerts will feature Strings alongside his band: Royal Masat, Alex Hargreaves, Jarrod Walker, and Billy Failing.
The complete and official tour schedule is expected to be confirmed on December 2.
