A network issue has prompted a ground stop for all Delta Air Lines flights at Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) this morning.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued the order, which affects both departures and arrivals. Originally set to expire at 7 a.m., the ground stop has been extended until at least 8 a.m. The FAA has also indicated a 30% to 60% chance of a further extension.
According to officials, the disruption is confined to Delta’s operations at the McNamara Terminal. Other airlines at DTW are not affected and are operating normally.
Delta passengers are advised to check their flight status directly with the airline before traveling to the airport.
