On Saturday, a Singapore restaurant introduced laboratory-produced chicken meat, as its producers hope to reduce the impact of meat consumption on the world’s environment.
The restaurant served laboratory meat to adolescents between the ages of fourteen and eighteen, who had been invited in particular because of their “commitment to improving the state of the planet.”
The “Eat Just” manufacturer stated that the first commercial sale of this meat will be in the “1880” restaurant, which is located on a high street in Singapore.
The start-up company revealed in early December that the Food Security Agency in Singapore had authorized it to sell laboratory-made chicken pieces from animal cells.
