Today, Monday, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Preventive Health, Dr. Abdullah Asiri, said in an interview with “Bloomberg” agency, “The Kingdom is in talks with Russia and China to obtain vaccines for the Covid-19 virus, after the Kingdom adopted a program to import the” Pfizer-Biontech “vaccine.
Asiri added, “Talks are continuing and data is being exchanged, but the Kingdom has not yet reached a decision, and we do not expect other vaccines to arrive in the Kingdom, perhaps until the first quarter of 2021.”
Asiri added, “The Kingdom has received three shipments of” Pfizer “vaccines, and expects to receive additional shipments before the end of the year, noting that Saudi Arabia aims to vaccinate all its residents free of charge, including expatriates.”
