Egyptian international Mohamed Salah, the star of the Liverpool team, won the award for best player in the English Premier League for the year 2020, with the vote of the fans, according to the Mirror newspaper.
And Mohamed Salah contributed to Liverpool’s crowning of the Premier League champion, for the 2019-2020 season, for the first time in 30 years, by scoring 19 goals, in addition to 10 assists.
Aston Villa star Jack Grealish came second in the vote, while Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford finished third, narrowly ahead of fourth-placed Belgian Kevin De Bruyne, Manchester City playmaker.
Liverpool’s trio, Jordan Henderson, captain of the “Reds”, Senegalese striker Sadio Mane and Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk, came from fifth to seventh respectively.
