A Sudanese woman responded to a religious fatwa related to a piece of land that she had in Khartoum. There were suspicions about how to acquire and own it, so she sold it and gave its price to the poor.
The Sudanese preacher, Muhammad Hashem al-Hakim said: “A respectable woman asked me about a piece of land that I questioned its sanctity and the way it was owned.”
He added, “The lady decided to dissolve from the plot of land for a sum of 4 and a half million pounds, because she doubted its sanctity due to false information.”
He continued, “I transferred part of the sum to be distributed to the poor as charity.”
He pointed out that the Sudanese will distribute the remaining amount through its knowledge to people who deserve charity.
