The father of a troubled 22-year-old who was allegedly stabbed by his own mother has taken out a restraining order against him.
Hugo Ball, 22, moved into his father’s multi-million dollar Paddington home after he was released from hospital following the alleged November 21 attack.
He lost some two litres of blood but was pictured looking happy and healthy outside his CEO father Ian Bell’s home in the weeks to follow.
About 9.30am Sunday morning, police were called to the luxury home on Stewart Street after reported of an alleged altercation.
Hugo was charged with destroying or damaging property worth less than $2,000 later that evening.

Following investigations, detectives also applied for an apprehended violence order on Hugo’s father’s behalf.
The order restricts him from going within 50 metres of the family home or his father’s workplace.
Hugo must not contact Mr Ball unless it is via telephone, and he cannot harass, stalk or intimidate him.
The AVO also prohibits Hugo from damaging property belonging to his father.
He will appear in Downing Centre Local Court on January 13 in relation to the charges.
The labourer was pictured recovering at his corporate high flyer father’s $5.5million Paddington terrace, his arm in a sling, shortly after the alleged incident involving his mother.
Hugo’s mother Samantha Palmer is accused of stabbing her son about 1.40am on Saturday, November 21, after Mr Ball returned home hours after his curfew.
She was arrested in her summer dress and pearls and later charged with wounding Ball with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Video captured following the incident showed Palmer screaming ‘Jamie, I love you,’ to her second husband, James Tilley, and thanking officers as they handcuffed her.
Meanwhile, the clip showed her bloodied son being stretchered out of the home by paramedics.

It is alleged she stabbed her son several times with a 12-inch blade in their $3.1million Bellevue Hill home.
Hugo was rushed to St Vincent’s Hospital after allegedly losing two litres of blood.
The 55-year-old’s lawyers argued Hugo told her he had ‘committed murder’ and that she was acting in self defence.
Hugo has been described as a keen rugby player and UFC enthusiast who a court heard has struggled with drug abuse since graduating from his $33,000-a-year elite private school, Scots College.
A bail hearing was told that Hugo had stumbled into his home about 1.40am, hours after his curfew.

The court was reportedly told his mother allegedly attacked the young man after an ‘incoherent’ Hugo told her he had apparently been involved in a murder.
‘He’s come home and is acting erratically and he is walking around incoherently,’ lawyer Darren Emery told the court, according to the Daily Telegraph.
‘He tells her that he has committed a murder.’
Mr Emery claimed Ball had abused ice, heroin and valium after graduating from Scots in 2015.
Mr Emery told the court Hugo had twice spent time at Robina Hospital, Queensland in recent months. He had been studying at Bond University there.
His family is now divided between two multi-million dollar homes – one in Bellevue Hill and another in Paddington.
The young man was living at his father’s spectacular five bedroom terrace, which actress Toni Colette reportedly once made an offer on, but it is not clear where he will now reside, given his mother has returned to her Bellevue Hill address.
More to come.
