The Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a statement today, Friday, that Zarif discussed with Sheikh Ahmed Nasser Al-Muhammad Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, “the latest issues of bilateral relations and regional developments, and explained the Islamic Republic’s viewpoint in ensuring comprehensive stability and security in the region away from foreign interference.”
According to the statement, Zarif referred to “some suspicious moves and American harm in the region,” stressing that Washington would be responsible for the consequences of any possible adventure.
In the same context, Iran’s representative at the United Nations sent a letter to the international organization warning of the repercussions of any US adventures against Iran.
This comes as the first anniversary of the assassination of the Iranian Quds Force commander, Qassem Soleimani, by an American air strike near Baghdad Airport.
