The Real Madrid team came out with a broad victory from the stadium of its host Deportivo Alaves (2-0) in the match that brought them together on Saturday evening, in the twentieth round of the Spanish Football League.

French striker Karim Benzema doubled the score, by the 41st minute, with a powerful shot from inside the penalty area.
Belgian star Eden Hazard strengthened the “Merengue” advance by scoring his third goal, in the last minute of the first half, after a wonderful pass from his German colleague Toni Kroos, who tamed it skillfully and shot it into the net.
Striker Jose Luis Sammartin Mato scored the goal to reduce the difference for the owners of the land, in the 59th minute with a header.
Karim Benzema returned and signed the second personal goal for him and the fourth for his team, in the 70th minute of the match at the “Mendizorosa” stadium in Vitoria.
Real Madrid raised its tally after this victory to 40 points from 19 games, and is the runner-up in the league standings, four points behind leaders, Atletico Madrid, who played two fewer games.
Meanwhile, Departivo Alaves, who is celebrating its centenary today, is stuck at 18 points and is currently in seventeenth place, on the league table, pending the results of the rest of the matches of this round, which were postponed from previous rounds.
